# Analytics

## Review your activity

Open **Analytics** in the console and choose a date range and sport. Presets cover 30 days, 90 days and this year. Custom ranges support up to 1,096 calendar days, including both endpoints. Activities use their saved calendar date.

Overview includes sessions, active days, duration, distance, ascent, longest activities and consecutive active days. Group volume by day, week or month, then inspect sport distribution, weekday patterns and yearly heatmaps. A day without an activity is distinct from an activity with a missing measurement.

## Compare periods

Choose the preceding period of equal length or the same dates last year. Series align by elapsed days from the start; weekly and monthly views follow the current period's calendar boundaries. A leap-day comparison uses the last valid day of that month.

Distance and ascent totals include only activities with those measurements. Coverage counts appear beside the totals. Check coverage, sport and the synced history before comparing incomplete periods.

## Load and trends

Training load separates Edwards heart-rate load from session RPE. They are different scales. Chronic load, acute load and balance use available heart-rate load. See [Metric definitions](metrics) for formulas, coverage requirements and incomplete history.

Trends include pace, heart rate, power, cadence, grade-adjusted pace, ascent, running ability, cardio fitness, efficiency and aerobic decoupling. Sports have separate series. Account fitness metrics include relevant running evidence across the account and do not follow the sport filter.

## Records and comparisons

Records show continuous distance efforts, maximum elevation gain by distance, sustained heart-rate and power peaks, annual curves and progression by sport and year. Open a record to inspect its sample window. Peaks are observations, not workout targets; a GPS effort is not a certified race result.

Activity comparison accepts two activities of the same sport. It compares summary metrics and overlays signals available in both. Each line uses its own active-time clock; shorter activities are not stretched and missing samples are not filled.

## Export and review

Use the icon on a chart to download a PNG, **Export analysis JSON** to save the selected view, or Print for a paper layout. The activity table supports date, distance and duration sorting and links to [Activity analysis](activities).

On the first visit, saved totals appear while historical samples are analyzed. Progress and completed charts update automatically, without manual syncing. Exports retain their processing status; wait until analysis finishes for a complete snapshot.

Data refreshes after syncing and when returning to the page. Summary-only records still contribute available totals. Signals and continuous efforts require sufficient samples. See [Analysis data format](analysis-format) for exported fields and units.
